Pokot Turkana Peace Initiative

Come and meet some really fine people.  Samuel is a young nursing student, a Pokot who is committed to this peace initiative.  His nursing degree is sponsored as a part of this project, in exchange for his promise of serving the Pokots and Turkanas for several years upon completion of his education.  Steven, too, is a sponsored nursing student, a Turkana, who with Samuel will demonstrate by his commitment to working together with members of the other tribe that peace between them can be achieved and that enemies can become friends and colleagues.  Jacob and Ann are of the Nande tribe in Kenya.  They have worked with the Pokots for nearly two decades and continue to hope for and promote peace betwen the tribes.  Barry is a physician from northeastern Washington who first met the Pokots in 1996, and has returned to work with the Kenyan partners on this peace initiative.  Craig Wolfe is a premed student in southern California is committed to improving health for children in the developing world.  Everlyne, Steven, Esther, Mary and John are Turkanas.  Samuel, Joshua are Pokots on our team.
