Updates from the field:
Samuel sent a note saying he has received the funds for the orphans, a total of $5361.00 from the fundraiser held at our home in December. Thank you, everyone who has helped to make this a possibility. He will be using this money for uniforms, books, food, supplies for the children to allow them to move forward with their lives.
A group from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan has offered to help us with the orphan project. They are working on fundraising, finding supplies for the children, creating a business plan, looking for contacts in Kenya to help with other pieces of the project, and more.
I am working on getting some building materials to the communities, but more urgently, working on water for the Pokots. Samuel has some contacts who will help us to get a well there, and we will need a geological survey for the water site, and water analysis for some of the saline water sources that could possibly be used for limited crop raising. That's where we are. Lots of hard work ahead. Everlyne and the orphans send their greetings to all of you. Barry
